Telstra have taken issue with our description of their "discussion points" as a log of claims in the previous bulletin. We have not received their full log of claims but maintain that members need to be aware of the tone of these initial discussions.

This Branch remains deeply concerned at Telstra's attitude towards:

• Pay - based on low inappropriate comparisons Telstra sought to make
• Lower redundancy benefits
• The additional Telstra Leave Day
• Additional Higher duties restrictions
• Tighter control on purchased leave
• Removal of overtime from Band-ð--9's and above
• Long Service Leave proposed changes

Telstra has adopted a legalistic approach to the handling of this matter. You can rest assured that this Branch will strongly oppose these options if they are pressed.
