Five months into barganing and following clear feedback from your barganing team, ESTA has finally listened and tabled a new log which significantly reduces the attacks on your hard fought for working conditions.
While this management log is still not formally endorsed by Government, ESTA has officially advised that they will not be pursuing the following claims:
Hours of work/ reduction in shift lengths
- Meetings in rest breaks
- No overtime for part-timers until working over 38 hours
- Incorporating SES into fire and police (without payment for separate service)
- Change of roster for fire teams at Ballarat.
Due to this change in direction for ESTA, the Unions are hopeful the bargaining regarding our key claims will now progress without the distraction of regressive management claims.
The Unions are intending on presenting our minimum staffing claim to ESTA at the next meeting this Thursday which we have advised is our key claim.
Further discussions reagrding wages and other claims will continue as soon as ESTA’s log is endorsed.
