Number 22 26 June 2022 BAI EBA VOTE UP BAI staff (65 Techs in total) have voted up an EBA. Rates of pay from 1 July each year will be increased on the basis of 3% or CPI +1%, whichever is the greater. That is 6.1% this year.
We have written to Telstra complaining that Bathurst Exchange is still without permanent water (since about Sept last year). Staff attending the site have to turn the supply on at the mains tap to have the 'privilege of running water at the Exchange. The water issue not only affects kitchens, toilets are also affected, making it an OHS issue. There are lights out, site maintenance is getting less frequent, and reports of issues appear to go unnoticed (no feedback).
TELSTRA GAT ROSTERS Negotiations have commenced following a proposal to radically change shifts and cut income of members working in the Government Assurance Team. The proposed rosters were unworkable, and there is currently insufficient staff to implement the proposal. TPG EBA Negotiations continued this week with TPG responding to many issues. TPG has made a number of positive changes and will soon issue an updated proposed EBA. We will then review the new draft and respond.
