AUS POST AUTHORISED DAY 2025

This year, Aus Post nominated Wednesday, 20 August as the Authorised Day. Following years of engagement, the vast majority of Post staff have opted to take a day of annual leave in lieu of the Authorised Day.

NBN SOD CASE

We have further directions from the Court to deal with some technical matters and for NBN to respond. We will be back before the Court on 22 August.

NBN BULLYING

The appeal lodged by NBN will be held this Thursday in Sydney.

TELSTRA REDUNDANCIES AGAIN

Telstra this week announces a further 550 redundancies. Telstra insist that they are not AI driven, obviously that will be another day. We have had 2 preliminary meetings with Telstra as we try to understand the wide variety of roles involved. Ant member with concerns should contact us asap.

TZV EBA

The meetings continue as we look to find areas of agreement and disagreement. No agreement has been reached on any issues although it is clear that a number of low cost items should be agreed. Negotiations continue fortnightly.
